    jaysus lads that was mad.

    hope you all got home ok in the end.

    am staying over in the brothers tonight in DMW and the bus got flooded twice (i.e there was waves on the floor of the bus as opposed to koncking out ) .

    once at the long mile road just past the school near the halfway house, and again far worse at diagio near park west.

    got the shoe drying on the radiator now !

    The shagbags are what passes for management in much of the public sector - this is certainly true of DCC. The guys who clean the streets are not even provided with safety gloves that are adequate to protect them against syringes, know of a case where one of the binmen gave some extra assistance to an elderly person, elderly person wrote to DCC management praising binman, binman disciplined for working outside the rules - you could not make it up.

    It's great to see Dundrum SC being flooded. It might ease people off from getting further into debt by buying stuff that they don't need. More floods please.

    So why can't we come up with a drain cover that blocks leaves but allows water to pass? The drain covers I'm used to seeing have 5 big wide slots in them. Would a finer mesh not work better, providing we keep the top clear of leaves ..

    Jaysus Dundrum Centre is no joke... We can all have a laugh, as i was doing, but this is a major employer and some shops could be in trouble tomorrow
