But think about it. A real party machine behind you. The chance to influence decisions...

You're aunt is an FFer though?

    And Yes,

I think Pat Mc Cartan will definitely retain the FG seat.
I was referring to that individual.

I wouldn't be so confident in Mc Cartan holding the seat; I wouldn't be surprised if he decided not to run. The reality of the amount of work is involved I believe is starting to dawn on him. Running a practice and his council obligations is a lot of work.
Jim Clearly there is an FG seat and clearly FF will win a seat back. With John Gormley as leader the Greens will want ehir seat back and the PDs need the same. Sure I will be squeezed among that lot.
Thats quite a good analysis, and leads to the conclusion that you will most likely lose your seat. Therefore it is apparent that a vote for Cllr is a wasted vote, and you should put it to better use by voting for someone else.
Oh, and have you nothing better to be doing than coming on here playing the poor mouth a year and a half before the election?
    Ill wager nobody believes you.
Ah Meriweather your attitude belies your tag. Have a sense of humour will you. To be honest I have a lot better things to be doing and as I am in the middle of writing a long report I am using the chat forum as a break to allow me think - OK.

So.....where have we got to? Lacey tops the poll. Who's fighting it for the last 2 seats: P. McCartan (FG). Then who else is there: G. Tubridy (FF)? S. Ryan (FF)? Who will run for the PDs and Greens??

As I have said Bobby so often before I have never taken the people of Pembroke for granted. I will be fighting to retain the Labour seat in a very non traditional Labour ward against what I expect will be an onslaught from FF and FG and the PD's seeking to hold on. Add in the new Green Leader and you have a battle - which however I think I can win.
