btw that was in no particular order, if there is any justice in the world, I think Warren should get in ahead of lawlor but then again middle class vote in tallaght south is running scared and lawlor could be any port in a storm. It will all depend on the turnout on the day imo - also the eliminations who bites the dust first - all candidates have put in fabulous campaigns from what I have observed in fairness.

Yeah probably...but have to say she's almost invisable for 4 and a half years...anything I see her at she looks bored stupid...and totally disinterested..she seems to hold on to "Brain" Hayes shirtails...mind you....don't think the lawlor stands much chance against her!

Would that be his "blueshirttails" ? Sorry irresistible also when I say any justice I mean if there had to be a blueshirt in TS given that there are none now - Warren edges it over that other eejit. Do not rate either of them.

"Brain" is a bit of a gimp imo. A big bit. Thank God big brother is starting tomorrow, I really need to snap out of this unhealthy attachment to local election commentary - just hope it forces a general much more interesting.

have to say warren was the only one to call to me ma's gaff.

everyone else dropped in the "sorry i missed you" card and did a legger before she could get to the door (she hasnt been the best lately)

anyway didnt stop her giving warren a bollocking about local issue. your right i havent seen hide nor hair of her since the LAST election so i havent a bulls notions whats she's actually acomplished.

that said you can say the same about most councillors.

i WILL say she's must be spending an absolute fortune, bloody warrenmobile seems to be ominpresecent in the millbrook lawns ,old bawn , firhouse area (near the mill anyway)

havent a clue how she'll do though. really depends what mood the grannies are in as tallaght south has one of the oldest demographics of the town (bar kiltipper of course)

Also the youngest demographics - West Tallaght is part of Tallaght South along with Citywest, way young population there. Problem is they don't turn out in force to vote unfortunately.

FG and SF are spending a fortune in Tallaght South for the election.

Heard something very interesting just now - obviously everyone's getting their last-minute drops out today, and I'm just back from that for some grub. Anyway, it seems Mary Upton TD has a letter being dropped in parts of Perrystown/Greenhills. Fair enough, I hear you say - but apparently this letter says something along the lines of the following:

That if you received a letter from Dermot Looney, with some kind of endorsment from her (Upton) on it, that letter is not genuine. She (Upton) actually thinks that Pamela Kearns is an excellent candidate, will be a great councillor for the area, very hard-working, blah blah blah.

As I say, I haven't seen the exact text (though I will this evening), but apparently that's the jist of it. Has anyone seen it?
"Elite - a small superior group; esp one that has a power out of proportion to its size." (Oxford English Dictionary)

The majority cannot therefore be the elite.
