It was very funny seeing mIck run out of Molloys in the Village the other night, about 3 bin men drink down that end of the bar LOL!!!
I agree you regarding numbers 'Hiding' - anymore than six people and you are wasting your time, small teams around the area is the way to go!!
BTW you may hate the "FF Lite" tag but we are certainly putting forward that aurgument on the doors -'What would they do any diffrently'. The call for 15,000 public servants to be put on the dole definitley does not sit well with teachers, nurses etc. when you knock on thier door!!

If only PSF advocated anything different! What's needed is a change to the system, not the personnel. Real powers to local government so that communities actually have a say. If you don't get rid of the capitalist model, then you are left with no alternative but to cut jobs and services. Just look at what's happening in the North if you think a vote for PSF is a vote for an alternative. Hospital cuts, water charges, support for DECREASED corporation tax so that the rich pay less. I'd say PSF are the real FF lite (although they're not so lite!!)

Where did they find you?, How many politicians did you hear speak at the Hospital? If you were actually there, which you obviously were not, you would know that the only person that spoke was Ritchie O'Reilly. Go back under your pillow and dream about the Socialist Republic you will do nothing about achieving.

Fine Gael haven't called for 15,000 public servants to be put on the dole. They've called for two programmes - voluntary early retirement, and voluntary redundancy. Obviously early retirees won't be going on the dole, and usually the only people who take up voluntary redundancy are people who have other jobs lined up. So they won't be going on the dole either. Furthermore, the key word is "voluntary" - nobody will be "put on the dole" in a voluntary programme.

Still, if its Sinn Fein policy to leave the HSE grossly overmanned at middle-management level, while lack of money to pay frontline staff is causing ward closures, well I suppose we'd better point that out on the doorsteps as well.....

You do know who actually pays corporation tax - don't you.....?

I certainly was at the hospital and crowe appeared to hide behind Gerry, hardly uttering a syllable, while the party leader spoke to the press. For a man who's face is all over "Save Tallaght Hospital" posters, he was remarkably quiet. Glad to see you're honest enough to admit that you've given up on that socialist republic.

RTE were with Gerry as part of the Party Leaders coverage they were doing last week and were with him all day, it was not an interview about the hospital and in fact no question was asked regarding that issue and they were not there to speak to the LEA candidates, it was about the MRBI poll that had come out the previous day, it just so happens the Hospital was the backdrop for part of this interview.
Now it is quite obvious you are a troll so we will leave it at that!!

that certainly explains what i saw last sunday coming home from the ma's .

brian hayes was out with a few heads at st dominics church i didnt recognaise so i presume they were the FG candidates, two youngones were heading to the same point with a sandwich board for the FF candidate and two blokes were hamereing up a frame to put up posters for yet another candidate on a wall by the street.

the last fecking annoyed me as theres enought bloody lamposts to hang this litter off with out creating more space and its right on the way to the polling center which im pretty sure is meant to have an exclusion area around it.

either way it shows that theye ramping up the campaigns big time. gas thing is most of the grannies have made up their mind ages ago.

FF are going to get one hell of a kicking in that area.

Sorry, should have realised that Gerry was there for the cameras, not for the hospital! Interesting to note that FG have started to make noises about possibly working with PSF in the future. Two sides of the one coin!
