Eoghan Harris on last Friday's Late Late

I think the defining moment of this campaign has been Eoghan Harris's tour de force for Bertie Ahern on last Friday's Late Late Show. I just watched it again on the RTE archives and it was the most powerful piece of televison I've seen in years.

I'm amazed that there's been no mention of it since on either the broadcast or print media. However, anecdotally, I know it had a huge influence and I credit it as being primarily responsible (ahead of the leaders' debate and the westminister speech) for the late surge to FF as witnessed in Monday's MRBI poll

    How's things Eoghan?

Still hearing them oul voices in your head telling you that you are the conscience of the Irish people but they are such an ungrateful shower of b*stards that they never listen to you?

Still, like the stopped clock you will always be right sometime. What a fantastic journey it has been:

From Sean South to Cathal Goulding to Stalin to Gorbachev to Robinson to Bruton to Adams (YES! for about two weeks in 1995) to the retired Garda who ran for President to Trimble.

As we used to say, "keep taking them". "Mary Frances"

    Ok Popper,

Let you explain the 5% jump in FF support over the weekend. Harris dealt with the question of his flipflopping on the program so maybe you should watch it

You obviously were so enthralled by that idiot you missed him being taken apart by Dunphy.

There was no such jump in reality!

Look at other posts on the forum, FF 38 at best.

Harris is the soaraway sindo übermuppet from yesteryear!

Don't know about that, I thought Eamon Dunphy was much more convincing.

If FF has a bounce, it is despite Eoghan's support, in my opinion.

    popper

I'll say this about Harris. He faced up to the collapse of Socialism with an intellectual honesty that was not matched by others. I'd trust Harris before Michael D. or Brendan Ryan.

The woman who used to dance in the middle of O'Connell Street handing out prayers has more influence on the Irish people than that ******************************************.

Oh, and I hope I am not offending anyone

The MRBI poll was done before Harris's appearance on the LLS and in case you didn't notice a Red-C poll done on Monday and Tuesday has FF back on a more realistic poll rating of 38%.
    Average expenses per TD in 2011:- FG €36,412, Lab €28,756, FF €45,219, SF €44,413, SP €23,654, PBP €31,866, WUAG €49,911, IND €37,805, CC €13,112.
