    Creighton's Council Seat

Who will be put forward by Fine Gael for co-option into Creighton's council seat? Is there a ready-made candidate in the offing, or is Paddy McCartan going to be called up as the next in line from the last election?

She's not elected at all yet.
I smell a rat the way she has been talked up endlessly by her political opponents, all of whom have an interest is putting forward the perception she is safe, as all colours from Quinn to McDowell to Green to FF could lose out to her.

If FG had run only one candidate in 2002, they would have won a seat. If they, with only one candidate, can't win a DSE seat in 2007, they don't deserve to exist!

Don't scare me with talk like that.

Suddenly Labour are all over this site saying that FG are going to top the poll, that Lucinda is a shoe-in etc. Meanwhile the Greens are leafleting Ringsend to say that Labour are safe, as are FG, so only a vote for the Greens can ensure change. Does anyone really fall for this crap?
