Lets call it, Dublin South Central!! Have a go!

If anyone has any canvassing feed back, state that in their response! I d still consider putting a bet on!
1-- O' Snodaigh - Ballyer and that should be very good to him!
    2 - Ardagh - Respected
3 - Upton - Will get labour vote
4 - Mulcahy - Will secure a surprisingly high first preference vote and transfers will still be needed by Upton and Cath Byrne, thus leaving Eric Byrne short what he needs! Mulcahy to fall home!
5 - Catherine Byrne - On transfers from Ann MArie Martin, just about! Could be the other way around though! Reckon they will transfer well enough between them! However, I would still feel the FG seat is in Danger as both may not poll well enough on 1st prefs

McDermott - Fall short, maybe next time. Not known at all around my area, but could be strong else where!

Collins - Tricky, seems very strong around me and will go well. But I d still feel she will be short of Eric Byrne. I m not sure what her support is outside my area! Cant see Brid Smith giving her significant transfers as I d feel Sinn Fein have Ballyer and that in the bag!

Eric Byrne - Fall short again, Labour's struggle in Dublin will leave him short. Opposition votes will go to Sinn Fein, collins and the Greens! If Eric was DL I d say he d be well in, but the attachment to labour will do him no favours this time around. Also Upton, with labour s poor showing, will still be eatting transfers till late so he will short what is required in transfers! Still if he s ahead of Collins and McDermott he has a real chance.

Whats do people reckon? State please if anyone has canvass returns and from what particular area they are from!

I'd put Byrne at 4, I think Mulcahy is going to struggle. He was at my front door last week and didn't even seem too sure of himself! But that aside, I do think he is going to struggle, will probably hold his seat in 5th though.

McDermott has had a good presence around the Terenure end of the constituency, I wouldn't know about anywhere else but I'd imagine not hectic.

I was talking to someone in the constituency who said that he just walked away from the door, mid-conversation, when he found himself unable to handle their (polite) questioning of his policies, and his assertion that the only problem people have these days is too much money and not enough time.
Heavy words are so lightly thrown.

Yeah I thought about sticking it in there. However I wanted a more condensed predictions thread with new info, instead of the meandering general one! If a mod wants to merge it please do as I was going to place it in the other topic.

That other thread dates back to january and is a hard read!

How are Ben Doyle and Frank MacNamara doing, I am expecting great things.
Liquidate labour, liquidate stocks, liquidate the farmers, liquidate real estate.

It'll be a very sad song Frank will be playing the PDs out with in Dublin South Central. Really, they're not in the picture.

I agree with the first post, I think O' Snodaigh, Upton and Ardagh are safe...not usre of an order on that though
    freedom soon will come;
then we'll come from the shadows.
