Why vote for a Tourist like Fitzgerald?

Why vote for TOURISTS like Fitzgerald or Spain when they have absolutely no connection with DMW?.... and have no record of achievement. Let's face it we're not likely to see them after the election.

Surely that's a good thing. TDs are elected to the Dáil to legislate, not to go around knocking on doors asking "Is there anything I can do for you, missus".

Probably something to do with some voters thinking that they're the best candidates to represent them. Thats kinda the point of the election

Would rather vote on ability than location. If you want to go tourist see Gerry Adams getting on a leaders debate when he isn't a candidate in the election.
