No, because as the poll shows Fianna Fail must be brought to account for what we have all seen on our TV this evening. 90 years of independence given away to foreign financiers.
No government should refuse to hold elections which are overdue, Doherty has done great service to his constituency and also to the people of Ireland by taking his case to the high court and winning it.

Nothing like a national scandal to bring the 'established' parties to heal. The protest votes wont go to FG, Lab or green...........they will go to SF, across the country.

If SF cant capitalise on these circumstances, then project Ireland is a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong way off (about 30 years Id reckon).

Unreal that 29% of Donegalers would still vote FF either 1 or downticket.

Nuke the county from orbit and start again.

Yes!..You could be right. Where do we go from here? We have to start thinking outside the proverbial box and start all over again....We have been wronged by our political master class...Maybe the people will turn to the only political party that seems to have have integrity and honesty as a cornerstone of its policies....They may not have all the answers but neither had the shower of political adventurers and chancers that we had up till now...

FF has destroyed our country for years to come through their patronage of greed and corruption...They must never see political power again and their political and financial base must be destroyed....I am not convinced by replacing them with clones is the answer.

    Time to reclaim our future.....

No it wouldn't. FG would probably only run one anyway, and on those figures would have a quota, with FF back on 19%. It'd be a dogfight between FF and Labour for the last seat.

That's quite possible - especially when you see the divergence in the figures when voters were shown a general election ballot paper - SF down 9%, FG up 11%.

Just seen the RTE clip, what O' Domhnaill said was disgusting, O' Neill's rant about Doherty was desperation to say the least. Doherty's rating at 40% seems a bit high, I think 35% would be a bit more realistic.
