Ya man, and pass the splif.. Anybody got any munchies??

Legalizing it just won’t work. Once it is legalized the large companies will get hold of it, feck with the ingredients, it will be taxed, and sold in packs of 25.

Can you imagine going into Supervalu and asking

‘May I have a large pack of Panama Red please’?
‘Do you have any ID sir, we can only sell it if you are 21 or over’
’21?? Hell, weed is for teenagers, not for people over 21…’
‘sorry so, No ID, No Weed’

Then like on the packs of cigarettes, there will be all those warning messages and a photo of some guy completely spaced out with the caption:
‘THC fecks up your brain’ or something like that.

No, legalizing it just would not be any fun. No more driving around to the local 12 year old dope dealer, no more sneaking to the local green for a quick doobie. No more riding on the DART giggling stupidly.

One thing that has really fecked up weed smoking is the ban on cigarette smoking in public places. At concerts now you can’t light up a joint, not because you are smoking grass, but because you can’t smoke at all. Everyone in so healthy… it’s sick.

I lit up a joint at a Water Rogers concert and when people use to say, ‘hey man pass the joint’.. now they look at you and say ‘put that out, I don’t want to breath that stuff’.
What the hell is happening so society?

No I say keep it illegal, legalizing it will only take the fun out of it.

You could always grow your own and then you'd be sure what you were getting.

If legalised, the tendency would be to produce a stronger and stronger product, as has happened in the Netherlands already.

A lot behind the legalisation campaign is about Government wanting taxation from dope. Some of it is about wanting a doped population. Millions of jobs are shifting away to cheaper economies: the US and European governments don't want us getting awkward.
Day time tv and getting stoned on mimimal benefits is what they have in mind.

I watched a documentary last week about a county in Florida where half the population is stoned on legal prescription drugs they get from "Pain Control Clinics".

    Big Brother how are you.

The netherlands provides CHOICES, an individual can decide from various varieties and potency's. highly potent cannabis has always existed, an illegal cannabis market has led to a situation where the potency has dropped to virtually NIL, I believe this has led people to quickly move on to stronger products.

I have people drying out and in hospital, folk who enjoyed alcohol and prescription drugs, not a pretty sight.

The cannabis debate is just a small part of a whole lot of changes that a lot of people want to see happen in this country but there are also a lot that want to maintain the status quo as well. It is honestly hard to see this present government accept cannabis de-criminalisation, they lack the cahones to do anything that might upset the grass-roots FF'ers. FG are even more conservative!

I really think that the only thing that will make de-criminilasation possible here is when the finances really run out and they cannot any longer afford to police and lock up people for crimes such as this, and that may very well happen very soon! 'tis an ill wind.............
Actually, on second thoughts I'd say you are spot on my friend, many thanks

    Grow your own.............FREE THE WEED

Seriously. The penalties for having a plant or 2 is a fine at most.

If you want good unadulterated clean weed that suits your preference its the best route.

If people here want to change the law this is the only way it will be done.
If enough people are prepared to cultivate and accept fines then the authorities will soon realise that it cant be stopped.

Time to challenge the law by direct action rather than talk about it on forums.

    Lovely

anything that allows a citizen to bypass dealer scum is obviously an improvement , but not anywhere near as big an improvement as just staying the feck away from drugs . However whats more likely is that enterprising stoners realise they can make a profit from thir surplus and become capitalist shark dealers themselves , or the dealers put them out of business and into hospital .
Personally im of the opinion growing a plant that god invented should not be illegal . Unless the plant is of the man eating variety you see in tarzan films . Or one of those GM jobs . However it is and the drugs trade itself carries some very negative connotations . People should realise they run very high risk of criminalising themselvesand its not really worth it . Best avoided .
