As has been previously stated multiple times one can find as substance enthralling without being controlled by it!!!

Agreed, for some people, especially creative people. But an idiot on weed is still an idiot. A genius is still a genius, it does not have mind enhancing properties except in the mind of the person smoking it. Same argument can be made for alcohol.

I am very hesitant to attribute any great properties to a weed that is harmless and a very mild drug at that.

btw I have met people who smoke and consider themselves creative, but the reality is that the only creative thing they do is roll a 15 skin spliff.

I came across this site Cannabis.com It is an interesting site and has a larger version of this, I love old botanical drawings and the resolution and quality is good enough to get at least an A4 if not an A3 size print from, and it's copyright free.

ps. this is at 50% of it's size.

    A Perfect Defence

    Hi,

I presume pending the intelligent libertarian legalisation of drugs in a free society, this individual will have to use the natural defence that it was for personal consumption.

Not unreasonable really because he can overcome the stultifying of being a bean counter counting other people's money and has a natural need in that he has a part time job with the Estate Agents inventing those fanciful descriptions that materialise in Estate Agents brochures!

Entirely reasonable and he was on his way to the Motor Dealers to exchange his van for a black BMW with smoked out windows!

He's picking up a friend from the police, a customs official and a priest for a weekend away then staying with their Member of Parliament who doesn't inhale!

    Regards,
    Greg L-W.

    By What Logic?

    Hi,

Cannabis is not considered addictive but there is every reason to accept that it is likely to cause dependence.

Moderate occasional usage may cause damage but there is no certainty, abuse can cause serious medical damage with time.

Let us accept that a given drug is both addictive, harmful, intellectually dilaterious and is likely to lead in a period of time to terminal decline and demise.

Perhaps someone can explain to me by what idiotic surrender of self determination have people freely surrendered self determination of their own lives and behaviour to the state to be administered under the control of a collection of people who have largely abrogated on their duties of care by duplicitously surrendering the Governance of Ireland to a foreign and undemocratic supra national committee dictatorship of unelected foreigners who do not even share a common language, common experiences or common values.

When and why did that happen?

You will note the number of self serving politicians who consistently depend on drugs be they nicotine, alcohol or adrenalin since we accept they have largely smoked cannabis but unlike everyone else did not inhale!

Nor I presume as with Presidents and Priests would they dream of saying other than 'I did not have sex with that woman' (The priest I gather actually said that altar boy - and that Cardinal Ratzinger conducted the enquiry in America he has been granted indemnity from criticism by George Bush jnr.!!!!)

What is the logic of criminalising use of cannabis when many dig their grave with their jaws via obesity wittingly and willingly at McDonalds or the Chip shop?

Face it - life is a sexually transmitted terminal condition!

Whether stoned from choice or enduring years with dementia in confused fear dribbling in incontinent sqalor in a costly and cruel home.

Woops remind me to buy shares in Rizla!

    Regards,
    Greg L-W.

I guess that would depend on what you would refer to as mild. Some people report the effects of cannabis to be very strong, others barely notice it. Also depends on the time of day, whether you have eaten, etc.

I do agree with you on the first point...cannabis can only affect the mind of the person taking it. And it will affect each person's mind differently, depending on how they feel at that particular moment. Cannabis has made me more relaxed, more sociable, more creative, more tired, more excited, more happy, more anxious, more worried, more at ease...depending on the day, my mood, my setting and my company. The effect is stronger on some days than others depending on strength, time, mood, having eaten/drank, etc. It's a variable experience that is never exactly the same two times in a row (IMO).

There is something very wrong when cannabis is demonised and illegal in Ireland and yet a known poison like TV3 is allowed to be broadcast into peoples homes.

I dont know if any studies have been done but im pretty sure that watching TV3 can cause massive brain damage in viewers and surely leads to outbreaks of self inflicted eye gouging just to stop the pain of the endless drivel spewing from the braindead morons on this station.
