    WTF?

Is there any argument at all backing this point up?

Nothing tastes better. Especially if you add a little chopped fresh dill to the water when you boil them.

Sadly, I am a landless urban peasant here in Helsinki, but grew the weed in Ireland when I was living there for a few years in the 90s.

In fact, cannabis was the first plant I ever grew. I had to learn all the basics, sprouting seeds, transplanting, soil ph, substrate composition, watering, and so on and so on before I got it right. Once I knew how to grow it, I graduated to other plants, including potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes, courgettes, tyhme, basil, dill, strawberries, runner beans, peas, radishes, maize ...:

So don't anyone try to tell me that cannabis is not a gateway drug.

Damnit why didin't I spot this post earlier.Big cottage industry , growing weed.
It's keepin the mortgage paid for many people I know, a good few who don't even smoke themselves. For the past year my money hasn't gone to crime, it's gone to friends of friends to pay for the roof over their heads.
    Long may that continue.

That was a Fail on your part, I don't use the stuff but I think it should be at least decriminalised, if not legalised.
I've read reports, pro and con, on cannabis and the arguments against it now being made to keep it illegal are based on old arguments that didn't always have an unbiased basis.
My stance on it is based on logic, not any "wonderful experiences" with it.

I smoke it daily and have created 15 jobs since the banks crashed last year. Without the weed I do not have the patience of the analytical ability to do what I have done so far...

You are wrong that it turns people to mush. I know a few people who have been smoking for 20 or more years and they are as sharp as a needle.

And yeah, I'm an engineer and a damn good one if I do say so myself so the little bit of smoke I enjoy has no effect on anything other than my evenings.
I'm a postgrad student who has never failed an exam (unless you count econometrics which is ******************************g double dutch) and held down jobs all through college to pay my way...all while smoking the good stuff most nights!

I write better when I am stoned...much much better.

Seems cannabis is having positive effects on us!

An old argument and I would be in favour of the regulation of Cannabis and think this policy should come from the EU and once and for all cut out the criminal mafias that control this lucrative business. Its depressingly obvious that the cretins and morons that seek public office in this country would oppose this measure on the high moral ground argument while getting smashed on brandy in the Dail bar.

Here's a tip if you smoke, don't buy the poisonous muck peddled by Johnny Boy Gilligan and his ilk but get yourself to enlightened Holland where you can smoke in peace and enjoy the ambiance. I also think Dutch experience shows that millions will not die if cannabis is legalised and yes Harry Aslinger an American rascist bigot almost singlehandedly got marijuana banned, look him up, he was a real nut.

Don't bring cannabis back from the Dam, very bad idea. I'm sure I remember my Mam saying my grandfather grew hemp back in the 40's. There could be whole industry around marijuana in Ireland if we had the balls to do it.

We already have the green brand

We need to market it and produce relevant goods. Green Weed would be an awesome beginning and money maker
