it does confirm - together with the aforementioned policies - that the broad thrust of PD policy is liberatarian.
PD policy is not libertarian. Nor has it ever been.

It is somewhat akin to liberalism, if you squint a little and forget about a few illeberal policies.
The standard of excellence is an infinite suggestiveness, naturalism is the one thing to be condemned.

Imagine having to pay individual service charges for fire protection?
    primary and secondary education?
Imagine having no regulations on advertising or media?
tolls on every stretch or road?
Youd have to pay to walk through the local park, or to have a picnic on a beach
We already pay for these things via taxation. The difference with the classical Liberal model is that while these things are still provided, only the ones who actually use these services pay for them.

Iremember taking that particular test. We both got similar Libertarian views socially, but economically I was - 0.5 or something like that. To be honest I'd call myself a softcore Libertarian (Or a compassionate Libertarian)

..think there's some confusion between basic liberal economics and libertarianism.

the reason there's no "libertarian" party here is cos if you're not a happy-clappy celtic tiger cub, content to spend your life bumbling forward and back to tesco at 30kph in a high vis jacket, the chattering classes look at you like you've four heads...

but seriously, if you walk down grafton street aand ask 20 people what libertairianism is, what do you think the result would be..?

And only those who can afford to pay for all these things can have any decent quality of life. If you're poor, screw you.
Actual morality is doing what is right regardless of what you're told. Religious morality is doing what you're told, regardless of if it's right.

The most basic level of understanding concerning economic theory is that monopolies can control either supply or price, but not both. Removing the greatest cause of monopoly's existing (ie, gov. interference in the economy) would greatly improve the welfare of societies poorer members. Plus don't forget about the virtues of private charity.

That said I'm still in favour of the government providing at least a minimal level of support via subsidies for the poor.

    Socially I'm an anarchist nutter!

Yeah, probably be the same, I have yet to make up my mind about libertarian economics and how it would affect us. I did that ages ago and I would say that the economic scores has dropped closer to your own?

I am more in favour of small gov and little interference, but I dont hold with a lot of the right wing libertarian views out there. I am still evolving politically really?
