Supreme court: victims can't get redress

Just heard on Today FM that the Supreme court over ruled the High Court ruling that allowed victims to access the redress board even after statute of limitations had run out.

If the judiciary think they can wipe their hands clean in all this, they've got another thing coming.

And now off for a few months, shattered lives strewn in their wake. Tipstaff, remove those peons...

This is one bit of good news. We are in such poor shape financially that we cannot take on any more liabilities. I was hoping that a cap could be put on compensation. The money is required elsewhere in very worthy causes.

    So you keep saying.

Can you direct us to one or two of your posts where you condemn the legal actions taken by the families of children severly disabled because of poor treatment in hospital? You know, the multi-million euro settlements because the children will never grow up to be fully-functioning adults and will require full-time care?

For your reputation, I hope you're not just crying "we can't afford the compensation!" at one set of victims. That would really let the mask slip.
