MOST Cabinet ministers will be attending the Ryder Cup - but they have been warned that they must not accept corporate hospitality. One received four separate corporate invitations and turned them down.

The concern within government circles about ministers accepting corporate hospitality follows the controversy over councillors accepting invitations from property developers.

Ministers are allowed to go to the K Club in Kildare in an official capacity or as guests of the State bodies sponsoring the events, Failte Ireland and Bord Bia. - Irish Independent
