    Simon Wiesenthal, the con artist?

Simon Wiesenthal, famed for his pursuit of justice, caught fewer war criminals than he claimed and fabricated much of his own Holocaust story, according to this article.

Well he wouldn't be the first person to milk the holocaust for personal gain.

Whatever about his past the raison d'être for the Simon Wiesenthal Centre has died off, almost literally. How many nazis are their left to hunt?

They seem to be jumping on every bandwagon now simply to justify their existance.

He doesn't seem to have gained much other than a reputation. And the thrust of Walters article is that he was a showman in the eastern european tradition who embellished his cv the better to do his job. Whatever the truth of the matter he was a saint compared to the ghastly Hillel family who bought his centre.

International News for People of European Descent were not happy with Ganley's enforced alliance with Simon Wiesenthal Centre
Libertas Leader Declan Ganley allied with Zionist Simon Wiesenthal Centre, to fight against European pride and cultural identity | Romanian National Vanguard News Agency

The press release by the centre led to some of the best exchanges in the EU campaign and especially afterwards. 2009 News Releases | Simon Wiesenthal Center

Interesting to see Libertas hacks whining away on this thread. The funny side of the SWC intervention was that it marked a singular victory form anti Ganley bloggers who precipitated it.
Ganley being forced to form an alliance with the very people his Eastern European supporters hated only days before the election ensured no votes in Poland.
McGuirk and Simons going at it gave the anti Libertas majority a great laugh after the elections and now this thread.

transparency? you guys certainly are whether you know it or not
