    British turf for Croke Park

The pitch will be removed for the U2 gig and replaced with English sod

"I think this is symbolically a terrible signal for the GAA to be sending out. The GAA are our national sporting institution and Croke Park is our national stadium," said Senator Mark Daly.
Can anyone do better in the outrage stakes?

So feckin what? It is probably the best quality turf for the best price. Given their years of growing turf for cricket wickets I would say it is probably the best quality.

    People need to grow up!

    Ah now that's just silly.

So what buddy...its soil and grass fgs...get over it..this is the least of anyones worries and thoughts and we really need to get away from this sort of thinking if we are to move forward as a country. Etihad sponsor the championship fgs, they are from the Emirates..I didnt see you putting a post up about that

    ZANU FF distraction

The OPW has no problem sourcing materials, designers and contractors from outside the state and all with your tax euros and no one gets 'airtime' to complain about the OPW

Thought GAA had a policy of supporting Irish industry first. Is there no grass provider for a sports stadium on the island?

They should replace the Artane band and replace them with one of the Orange order ones. See what outrage is then =)
As an old fella in Cork once said to me about the Orange Order "says what you want about dem langers but they can bang dem drums and plays the whistle up dere wit da rest of dem.

Senator Daly took a major hit on Today FM this morning. On his high horse over Croke park he was stumped when Ray D'Arcy questioned him on the US designed Fianna Fail website. Callers to the station highlighted other areas of FF waste.
Going on that programme a spectacular own goal by Daly.

By the way one very humorous text stating that the English rugby team will be singing green Green Grass of home next time they play in Croker.

The new bridge in Dublin came from Holland. There isn't a building in the country that doesn't comprise of produts from other countries. Big fuss over nothing.
