Capitalism & Socialism are both the same

Why dont we live under a Red flag then?

Socialism winding the gap from Rich and poor, do we want to change our Community to Anger were their seeing the Rich getting richer and the poor only getting coppers for their daily work?

We get Socialism in and push out the non-National people and our work force in the country sides are forced into the towns to work as their no money being made in farming, Co2 levels will rise

Socialism Ireland = a New China!! I dont think so. If Socialism ever came to Ireland God help us all.

in order for Socialism to work... workers have to be corrupted and given crappy pay while CEOs control everything

I don't see how JH, the SP, PBP etc can be criticised for participating in elections and parliaments. The SP does not argue that fundamental revolutionary social change can occur simply from a parliamentary majority. It would require a mass movement of people taking direct democratic control of their workplaces etc.

For groups like the SP, a parliamentary seat anywhere is a platform from which to criticise the establishment, point out that the present system is neither capable of nor interested in meeting the needs of the majority, and offering an alternative view. Revolutionaries have participated in elections for as long as it has been possible to do so - including the Bolsheviks who ran for the czarist Duma. And before wrong-thinking 'right'-thinkers fall on this, taking such an attitude to a parliamentary position is in no way incompatible with representing the needs of one's constituents.

Cael - tbh I don't think you understand the idea of dual power. I don't mean that as an insult btw. It is not the role of a small party like the SP (or indeed of a larger party) to establish organs of workers' power like soviets. This is a task of the revolutionary working class, and we have seen it happen in Russia, Portugal, Catalunya, Germany....... It would make no sense to try and establish dual power at the present time, when we are in nothing like a revolutionary situation. For now, the role of organisations like the SP and figures like Joe Higgins is analysis and explanation.

Gosh but this is a terribly confused message isn't it?

You have no basis whatsoever for your conclusion.

I wonder if you could take the time to address each of the points you raise above, and justify it?

Pretty much what I was going to say. Cael, do you expect the Joe to go door to door in Dublin 15 and invite people to join the Fingal Soviet? Do you really think that is the road to Socialism? And if so you are contradicting what you wrote in the "proud to be a communist" thread.
Politics is boring. You sexless freaks are proof of that.

I admire Joe Higgin's immensely, but I think he would be better organizing a workers' revolt instead of criticizing the people who run the establishment. Surely it's like water off a duck's back to them. Will he change anything with his criticizing; if he does I think it will be minuscule.
