You could well be right. Talks today have failed to reach resolution.

A meeting between management of Galway County Council and SIPTU today, over strike action and jobs cuts has failed to reach a resolution.

Roadworks, water, sewerage and parking services around the county are disrupted today as a result of a strike by County Council staff.

Council staff began limited industrial action several weeks ago due to job cuts imposed by the County Council because of budgetary constraints.

The latests cuts saw 18 Council workers suspended without pay yesterday.
We all love animals. Why do we call some 'pets' and others 'dinner'?

I'm sure it could be, but the unions would never ever agree to it.
