Well, I assumed he's talking about an internal paint job as I don't think Leinster House 2000 has many external surfaces which could take flourescent green paint or Leprechaun murals. But I wouldn't put it past them!
Sorry just a case of me trying to promote my home village!!

Regardless, the planning authorities had something to say about "a paint job".

I guess you're right. It's a non-story when politicians tell lies and break promises, just as they have done in the case of this vandalism.
These lazy liars seem to think they own Leinster House. They don't.

It’s an all-party committee, established by the Oireachtas and independent of the government. Leinster House is over 250 years old, the car park will be around for another 2/3 years while the OPW get the problem sorted, get a grip, surely there are more important things to harp on about....

Sorry, the Dail is in breach of the planning laws, and you think that's a non-story?

Although two thirds of the members present at the meeting were from the main Government party, one of them being a cabinet Minister. In any case, georgedillon didn't mention the Government, he mentioned "politicians".

If it's nothing to do with the Government, why are you being so defensive?

I think that this is a sad and unfortunate saga.......this is a heritage issue........the lawn should be reinstated and the car park built without delay..........

However the problem is...in election year...I can see the headlines already......."we die on trolleys whilst Bertie gets a carpark"

What's weird is the idea that anyone should take this up as party political. This is just a general FU from the politicians to everyone else...
