Dempsey rules out cabinet reshuffle

No Cabinet reshuffle due, says Dempsey | BreakingNews.ie
Minister for Transport Noel Dempsey has said today that a Cabinet reshuffle is not on the cards in the immediate future.

He also said that he doesn't "appreciate" the comments made by unnamed party sources, questioning the ability of Ministers, including Tánaiste Mary Coughlan.

It comes after newspaper reports today said a number of Fianna Fáil TDs want sweeping change.

Dempsey called on those within Fianna Fáil with comments to make, to do so in their own names.

Speaking at a family fun day in the Phoenix Park ahead of National Bike Week, he said any decision on a reshuffle is the Taoiseach's call to make.

FF TD's are hardly likely to stick their heads above the parapet and criticise Coughlan: they are well aware that the entire 2009 allotment of IDA R&D grants has gone to inventors of welly-boot arse-whacking machines:

How would Dempsey know - after all it is Brian Cowan's decision. They roll out Dempsey to say this to see it will put and end to the discussion of a reshuffle. When it doesn't Cowan will reshuffle the cabinet and Dempsey will say that he was only expressing a personal opinion. They must think we are all as tick as the 25% of the population who still vote for these idiots.

Why has Coughlan become the sin-eater for the election disaster?
I know shes incompetent but she's hardly the reason FF got such a kicking.

In reality I doubt Cowen has much say. Whoever is pulling his strings will decide.
