Think about tho,who is this eejit that feels he needs to tell the world about his predeliction for fudge packing? What kind of an ego manifests in this manner.I simply don't get it.Anyone out there interested in my distasteful personal habits?....No...didn't think so.

That is not fair! Besides being gay is not a culture. I did not think sexuality was the basis of a culture, merely a peripheral activity. I have nothing against gays but they should not be promoted to high positions just because they are gay.

Actually while I understand why Donal Og came out in public (imo it was a question of showing solidarity and perhaps to help change the stereotypes of gay men) that's not a bad point.

Another poster said we needed to have more high profile gay people, by which I assume he politicians, sportspeople, celebrities etc., I would have to disagree. What we need are honest, qualified high profile personalities, regardless of their sexual orientation, colour, sex, or religion (except Scientology, cause there always has to be a line the sand). I'm always amazed to hear people talk about quotas and such like to promote equality while completly failing to take into account the best person for the job or the fact that "positive discrimation" is still discrimination.

How many openly gay TDs do we have? None? And only one senator.
