Well let me see now. They were Irish and of national interest and they were three doctors and talented and photogenic.

Not entirely amazing to be honest - they cater to what interests their audience. It is sad but true that the death of three Sudanese does not make the RTE news...

Here, people worldwide die all the time. The fact that Irish citizens dies is clearly of more impact to Irish people's lives and therefore will make a bigger impact on their live. That is how the news works.... I fail to see what the issue is.

The fact that they were young, recently qualified doctors makes the story all the more tragic.
