    What can you say? Society as a whole were responsible for these reprehensible acts. But I believe the Catholic Church have so much to answer for. I did not grow up in Ireland but in the UK, with Irish Catholic parents so I did not have an experience of the hold the CC had on the country. My heart aches for the suffering of all those children. I also think of the few good people who may have tried to make a difference and how much they must regret that perhaps they did not try harder to break the hold of the CC.

    In fairness it was more of a story, no coherent question... but why did John Bowman move on so swiftly ? He gave no chance for the panel to respond ?
