    Bluff and bluster I would say. There is no defence for the deal, end of.

    I don't watch tv so updates welcome. But I would safely say FF will mangle their way out of this one, except we will pay of course, and plus ca change.

    It seems the goverment are only going to ask for voluntary contributions.
    Time for the Irish Goverment to do the honorable thing and go. If thay have any honour left.

    Why aren't they disbanded??

    Surely the Christian Brothers, Sisters of Mercy etc. should be disbanded and assets liquidized by state edict and/or made illegal organisations given the carnage they've caused

    Particulary given that the congregations appear to be trying to move loot abroad

    We wouldn't even be discussing this if it were any other entity other then the established church.

    De Valera and his inheritors has been accused of alot of things down through the years but i think this issue is their biggest failing

    The church is moving it assets to trusts. In a cynical ploy to gat out of thier moral and legal jutys. Thay are no better then any other criminal gang. And indeed the Goverment are complicite in this too.
    Time for the Irish Goverment to do the honorable thing and go. If thay have any honour left.
