Catholic League's disgusting defense of Catholic church

"...over 30,000 children, most of them delinquents'.

Victims in the dock again. They will not learn, will they?

    This is particularly repulsive:

The Irish report suffers from conflating minor instances of abuse with serious ones, thus demeaning the latter. When most people hear of the term abuse, they do not think about being slapped, being chilly, being ignored or, for that matter, having someone stare at you in the shower. They think about rape.

They're the American crowd aren't they? Most Catholics, even priests, think they're repulsive loons. Their American-ness is more in evidence than their Catholicism.

I've heard of this chap before, he's a disgrace. Probably inappropriate to mention it but there's an amusing audio clip on youtube of him being destroyed by Louis CK.

I read their response to the report. They more or less dismissed the children involved as "miscreants" and implied that they deserved the abuse they received and/or they could not be relied upon to tell the truth about these matters. Shame on those who drafted this piece of denial and dishonesty. They are a US grouping and I think they try to match the Evangelical Christians in their hysterical, irrational and ill-judged responses to perceived attacks. Best ignored.

Pity ... their Website conveniently has no email address/Contact Form embedded ..... "Contact Us" details being 450 Seventh Avenue New York, NY 10123 (212) 371-3191
Fax: (212) 371-3394 ... shame really, I'd imagine plenty folk would like to email them with a piece of their mind if they read this

Thanks, I haven't had the audacity to attempt to link to any videos yet. The bit where they talk about Martin Luther King about half way through is worth a listen.

Bill Donohue is a darling of Fox News, he is their go to guy when Catholics are criticised. Hysterical, loud and good mates with Bill O'Reilly.

This should not be ignored; many Americans listen to this man, his disgusting comments should be refuted, hopefully by a senior member of the Irish Catholic establishment.
