Laos drug woman on voting register: Tribune

According to the Tribune the 21 year old Samantha Orobator who is on trial for drug trafficing in Laos and whose mother mother and sisters live in Castleknock is on the Fingal voting register at the same address. Although her mother alleges that she never lived in Ireland.

Her mother came here as an alleged asylum seeker from Nigeria but claims that to have sent her daughter to the UK aged 8 although she allegedly is a British citizen. Which begs the question was she in fact born in the UK yet her mother came to Ireland alleged seeking asylum from Nigeria?

I'd say there is a lot more to this story than meets the eye!

Her daughter is a British citizen. She could legally reside there, why choose to claim asylum in Ireland? I think we all know the answer to that......

Mammy weighed up the benefit on offer and decided that Ireland was a better business decision. It would be worth investigating if she was living in England for a no. of years before she claimed "asylum" here.

Miss Orobator was born in Nigeria but lived in south London from the age of eight. Her father lives in Nigeria and her mother and three sisters live in Ireland.

Still confused on wether a scam was going on.. If we assume she was up to no good only thing I can think is she was doing is double claiming welfare. Why be on the electoral roll for that? Might it be her vote would be cast by someone else?

Hopefully someone will be looking into this now that it is out in the open.

No need for an investigation, the woman is going through hell as it is. Just another reminder of how we badly need to reform our asylum system. Its a shambles and wide open for abuse.
