this is an absolute disgrace. the goddam public sector got a salary increase of Eur1bn a year to increase productivity about 4-5 years ago and it seems that they have regressed.

if any private sector company closed to the public for half the day it would quickly go to the wall.

in the private sector, when you are at the busiest period in the year overtime is expected on the understanding that when its quieter you can take time off. aparently the workers in the revenue commissioners are cushioned from the reality of working life.
