Recession is easing: thousands of new jobs created in Dublin!

In a report that will bring huge relief to Irish people everywhere, it was revealed on Sunday that, thanks to a decade of virtually open-borders and illegal immigration, Ireland is now able to generate thousands of new jobs - despite the recession.

    Independent, May 10th

Boom times in Dublin for Chinese 'massages'
Number of brothels has doubled amid fears of human trafficking.

"The Chinese brothels which advertise as "massage" parlours appear to be doing a roaring trade around the city and have also moved out into several major towns around the country..... They are now advertising mainly online and have also become more circumspect with none any longer offering "hand job" when called. All answer that they are open and some quoted a price, usually from 11am to 11pm often seven days a week. When visited, the prostitutes wait to be asked for sexual services before agreeing on a price..... The "massage" operations continue to cause headaches for strictly legitimate Chinese masseuses and masseurs who are offering genuine traditional therapeutic treatments. Another garda pointed out that, despite the recession, "business seems to be booming."

So, the next time you hear a naysayer b*tching about the fact that Ireland has been turned into a bankrupt, debt-ridden joke, politely remind them that we're manufacturing more prostitutes and importing more pimps than ever before.

A girlfriend of mine once innocently asked what I meant when we were stopped at traffic lights in London and I passed a remark about a tousled chap emerging from a massage parlour nearby.

It transpired that even at the age of 28 and living in the UK all her life that it had never dawned on her that 'massage parlour' means 'brothel'.

I was smiling all day at the startled look on her face.

Those were the days when there was the odd innocent abroad.

Most people nowadays would be able to rhyme off all the services available in such an establishment.

I find that insinuation quite insulting. Not all men are sex-starved perverts. I haven't been to a brothel in at least six weeks.

Look, it's time we grew up and legalised and regulated prostitution. In the Sindo today there is also an article on how the Revenue Commissioners are going to get really tough on legitimate professionals. How much revenue is currently lost to the exchequer by this currently illegal activity involving the world's oldest profession?

By the way, I'm not going so far as to say that Irish brothels should be nationalised, simply legalised.

I have not seen you for a few weeks alright but I actually meant that most females today would be well versed in the services offered in massage parlours.

You 're absolutely correct, it's time brothels were actually legalized, after all the young ladies are only providing a service.

The legalization of such should make it mandatory for regular health checks to be carried out to combat the menace of STD, it's all about customer care.

We could make Harney the Minister for Prostitution.
