    Applications breakdown.Ilegal immigrants granted citizenship.

    * Nigerians — 6,695 applications, or 38% of the total received. 6,155, or 37% of the total granted, were successful.

    * Romanians — 1,878, or 10% of applications. 1,794 or 11%, granted.

    * Chinese — 1,142, or 6% of total, with 1,072, or 6%, granted.

    * Filipinos — 1,021, or 6% of total, with 993, or 6%, granted.

    * Pakistanis — 663, or 4% of total. 613, or 4%, granted.


    All granted citizenship after the referendum.

    Wrong. Firstly, how do you know that they are "ilegal" immigrants? Where does it say that in the article?

    Secondly, this isn't about citizenship, you cretin, it's about residency. There's a difference.

    Lying again, Prophet&Seer?

    Those are figures for people who were granted residency on the basis that they were the parents of an Irish child. They were not given refugee status, nor were they granted citizenship. Neither does the article in question describe them as 'illegal immigrants'. That's an addition of your own. Can you back it up with any evidence?

    Just a little pointer for P&S the figures you quote don't ad up to 30,000! But then a little mathematics might be a tad too much trouble for yourself - better get a better qualified immigrant to do the maths for him!
