    Prime Time tonight

On now. Panel consists of Rabitte, Dempsey, Gerard Howlin and John Drennan.

Dempsey spend the first few minutes blaming Cowen's problems on the Media, doom and gloom merchants and populist statements from the opposition.

What's the story with the psychological analysis from political commentators?

Stick with the facts please. They're scary enough to send any of us to a qualified shrink.

Well i think in order to understand his style of government you have to understand his mindset.
'A defeatist attitude now would surely lead to defeat, it primarly a question of whether we have confidence in ourselves and the dilligence and determination of our people,We can't opt out of the future.' Sean Lemass (1965)

Add a qualified psychotherapist to the panel then. Not a Sindo colour columnist.

We've had the exact same evening! Season finale next week... Season finale for the government could be in 1 month (you see how I brought that back from the brink and back on topic, ish!)

Prime Time needs to be extended. I think an appraisal of the Taoiseach's first year in office deserves more than a couple of minutes debate - look how much comment Obama's first 100 days engendered!

Instead, the debate concludes as it's about to get vaguely interesting and they're off to a completely different topic.

Drennan made an interesting point when he said he detected a reluctance on Cowen's part to take over the top job during the Ahern long goodbye. Might have been an indication of a secret lack of self belief.
