    The motivations behind Dermot Aherns Bill is unknown (I have my suspicions) but Myers clearly states that it will be Muslims who will use this the most.

    That is possibly true but I would think there is NO possibility that Ahern is introducing it at the behest of Muslim groups.

    Ahern was put in charge of some reform committee at the UN by Kofi Annan. The OIC and all 57 of their member nations have demanded blasphemy be made a crime throughout the world. Dermy makes it a crime in Ireland and with his reform committee credentials get the OIC vote for some lucrative position at the UN.

    That UN vote is not binding and was proposed by the usual, non democratic, suspects. It is mere chaff. I do not accept for one minute that that is his reasoning.

    So what are his motivations? Another idea that entered my head is that Calamity was in the Gulf looking for business. Wouldn't the Sheikhs be pleased that we were doing the OIC bidding.
