Well in fairness he is far more qualified to talk about the financial state of the country than Lenihan, given that he has an MSc in economics whilst Lenihan has proved he can't even use a bloody abacus correctly!

It think that says more about FF's hysterical reaction to his declaration to be an FG candidate.

    You lot are really spooked.

His article is a fierce indictment of the govt.It is easy to see his frustration at the fact that the govt were warned time and time again about the lunacy of their policies but refused to listen.
It's a fairly long article, but I found this part particularly telling:

Quote: ''As danger loomed I consistently highlighted the risks of inaction and complacency. These warnings were ignored.Instead the government chose to portray them as an effort to talk down the economy. It is now to late to warn, too late to turn back the clock, too late to undo the damage that has been done to countless victims of this economic crash. The damage to the economic and social fabric of our country is devastating.''

There is lots more, but I can't quote too much because of the risks of infringing copyright.

I must also point out that the article is not all negative; indeed far from it.
He talks about the crucial need for vision and leadership and states that the policies of FG convinced him to go out there himself to do everything he can to help to set things right.
Well no one can say that George Lee is jumping on the gravy train.
He has taken huge risks and sacrificed a lot because he believes it is the right thing to do.
He is certainly the calibre of person we need.

Apologies I can't give any link.I don't think the Irish Mail is online.

It shows the kind of representative we are crying out for. Not just the son of the last guy.

This article will also provide a strong fillip for Enda Kenny:

Quote: ''The party has set out a comprehensive policy agenda recently that encourages me to see Fine Gael as the party with the right leader, who has developed the right team with the new ideas that can get the country back on track.''

A fine endorsement on the work Enda Kenny has been doing in revitalising FG.

I'm pretty certain you're wrong about that.
