    Dont blame the government!

Now, you should blame the government for this mess but, the Trade Unions are also a major factor in this mess. They are the same people who negoiated pay deals 6 times above the rate of inflation back in the "good times". But when it comes to taking some of it back, They say STRIKE!

I dont like trade unions. While yes the concept of looking out for workers rights is good. Unions are just bullys. They use bully boy tactics. When they dont get their way they strike.

For example. The incompetence in the public service is immense. There are plenty of teachers who simply should not be teaching. They ar'nt fit for the job. However due to the influence which has gotten out of control that the Unions have, these incompetent people cannot be sacked.

Now if we compare this to a worker in the private sector. They would be gone.

Also , I find it rather amusing when Jack ' O Connor and David Begg come out and critisise TD's for their allowences and expenses being to high and a disgrace to public service. Yet they are on over 160,000 euro a year.
Talk about representing the average worker!
    Hipocracy at its best.

Unions should not dictate government. These un-elected officials making all or most of the decisions.

We need to chage the Union influence in this country. I think we need to be tough on the public service and do what Margret Thatcher did back in the 80's to the coal workers when they striked, ignore them and then they stopped.

Good old FG. Why doesn't your Party Leader express the same views as yourself. FF, we know what they stand for. Labour, sure aren't we 'wedded to the Unions'. Be careful however, talk like the above and you could still be in opposition in 10 years time.

Yea the unions caused the property bubble.
Jesus how can Labour people get excited about sharing power with blueshirts?

Watch out there is another union member not striking, but sulking. Careful now he might strike if you annoy him enough.

Coal miners? Are you a fascist or something? Maybe we could be black in South Africa for you in 1989 too?

Going by Comhairle's posts, he isn't FG but is one of a number FFers who have appeared here and pretended to be FG members. He started one thread questioning Enda's position, now he starts a thread saying not to blame the government. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to smell a rat!

Also its Berties fault for allowing them the power that they have. Cowen constantly had to consult with the Social Partners. He's a joke, FF is a joke and so are the TU's.

Why dont you play for something other than a FG run gov. Labour should be aiming to either lead FG or FF into gov. Lab and greens with elements of FF could make a truely radical new start. The FG frothing a the mouth is starting to worry me and we have to have an alternative to FF all the time.

I know you will say you are, but in reality you are going to jump into bed with the most right wing gov in modern history soon.

Stop following and set the agenda for others to follow or better.

2nd anti-FG thread today by this FG avatar bearing poster.

    Another FF troll.

    Comhairle = FF Hack

In 16 posts he has started 2 incredibly anti-FG posts, the very day the party lands a coup with George Lee.

    Pathetic

@Tressell: Any chance to jump the gun at FG... you reds are pretty sad.
