I would appreciate some opinions on what a county councillor is actually supposed to do. I am having some issues with a local FG councillor about a series of concerns on all sorts of topics..from dangerous roads, to lack of parking, to poor quality water which is actually metered by our friends Veolia Water...and charged by Meath County Council...there are a raft of issues and I have no doubt I am not alone on this topic...but the basic question is what does a county councillor actually do...and how much do they get paid.

Is it normal for a county councillor to be an auctioneer for example.?

Just looking for opinions at this stage...
