No word yet.
There will have to be some element of transfer from the banks where there will be substantial cuts. Also a lot of people who were let go in financial areas will go for it.
Anyone transferring from a bank should not be allowed deal with previous customers.
I would say all the middle and lower levels will be filled by interview process.
No doubt that several of the top tier appointments will be political though.
Well NTMA and the committee that set up NAMA will be a source of key people
Also I saw the IBOA was worried re their staff who worked in banks credit department's
The usual thing with a company setup is to get the first few senior positions filled via something like an "executive headhunter" ...and those people usually operate in secrecy - then head out and advertise the jobs
People would be surprised at the number of senior banking managers who would have dissented re the property bubble ... it will be interesting to see if these are the type NAMA poaches ...
Also at top level it will need some serious economics + regulatory + game theory types .... imho these should come from abroad

"Yawn , am I alive yet ?"
Who is going to wind NAMA up when they go bust?
or should that be NLMA
national liabilities mismanagement agency
CyP : why go abroad, nescessarily? Lots of local talent seems to have come out of the ivory towers in teh last few months
I'll do it!
So long as the money is good, plenty of perks and a cushy pad thrown in of course.
- have not really a clue about Finance but that hasn't stopped anyone so far anyway
- so no problem there then!
Europa Conventus Delenda Est
Maybe Fingers eventually stepped down as he was offered a good gig with NAMA looking after all the bad loans he authorised in the past..
Hmmmm at operational level yes ... but for:
... well basically we'll need to design some sort of pricing system / auction to buy these assets ... this will require heavy grade new thinking ... and I know of no top flight economists, game theorists or regulatory/public policy thinkers in Ireland ... the type of people who could hold their own against say Avinash Dixit or Cass Sunstein ...some serious economics + regulatory + game theory types .... imho these should come from abroad
