As someone more neutral on this issue, Mar you are showing yourself to be nothing short of a clown. You are making no valid point, you sound like a kid throwing a tantrum and worst of all, you, in an earlier post, told the PS and CS to lose the arrogance, yet you have displayed nothing but ill informed arrogance yourself.

Having read through the thread I would have to agree with Dotski that there is no way you run a business. You are too busy in dreamworld.

Answer to both is none. It's one of the main reasons I joined the Service in the first place...

Just to clarify, I dont work for the Public Sector nor have I ever done. But you are just another deluded clown ranting about them. Ask yourself, if the PS wages and terms and conditions were brought back in line tomorrow, and they need to be, would that end the economic crisis? Not on your Nellie. It would barely make a dent on the problem.

The economic crisis we are in at present is one of the whole countries making. From the corrrupt politicians, to the greedy developers, to the unions, the PS and the private sector. You see, we in the private sector, spent the entire celtic tiger paying far less tax than was needed to run the country properly. We expected first world infrastructure but we did not want to pay for it. Most of us jumped at cheap credit, participated in the property boom etc. etc. We all had our role to play, and have our share of the blame to take.

Your yelling at the PS is just naieve ranting of a man who clearly does not know his ass from his elbow. The banks are about to be bailed out to the tune of approx 80 billion Euros and you think it is the Public Sector that is the big problem. Even if you cut PS wages, which is going to happen, we will still be around 100 billion Euros in debt by the end of the year. And you still think that the PS is the problem.

You sir are a sad little individual.

In addition, My Ass Sec and CO have gone. The western manager, the assist manager and the northern one, have gone/processing paperwork. All in a one month period.

Rumours were 3 ass secs of 9 in Agriculture have gone/processing paperwork.. how it is playing out where you are?

Civil Servants only please - theres enough threads elsewhere on the topic for the rest of you on if its a good or bad idea.

11 pages of bile so far adamirer.. You couldnt have stirred it more if you said PS should get a pay rise for stress!!!

Just goes to show, the resentment of the PS out there due to their privilidged position. Somewhat unfair but hey..

    Ye have lost the argument..

IN fairness most of it has come from one deranged individual (who if anything has probably only damaged his own argument!)

Oh yes, and the actual topic....

I've heard a few people going in other areas, and a few are considering it in my area, I think when a detailed circular goes around re the early retirement scheme announced it will be read very carefully by a few people and taken up by a few people. None yet, though.
