But Adams did spark a "terror alert", if that's a fair description to apply to the kerfuffle that arises when someone's name pops up as on a terror watch list, and pops up as they try to board an flight.

Suggestive of what exactly? That Adams has some sort of links with an illegal terrorist organisation?!

How dare those b*stards at the Herald suggest such a thing!

My bottom line is this: the Evening Herald is an appalling abuse of civil liberties and an abuse of the righteous concept of freedom of speech. If a person allows lies then they are complicit.

But what did the Evening Herald print that wasn't actually true?
Nothing. The headline is way off base, but the story appears to be accurate.
This was my earlier point - smug graduate types love to sneer at tabloid readers, but in my experience, the broadsheets are as likely if not more so to be actually factually wrong.
As for the EH being an abuse of civil liberties or freedom of speech, I really think that has to be either justified or withdrawn.
It is hardly the perfect media outlet, and I'm the last to justify their ghastly editorial agenda, but it patently appears to be neither of those things.
