    International Women's Day

    Well lads. Have you wished, your mothers, wives, girlfriends, sisters, female associates, fellow female activists a Happy International Women's Day? If you haven't, why haven't you? Has your party done anything to mark International Women's Day?

    While I would agree that more attention needs to be paid to men's issues- Fathers for Justice, Testicular Cancer and all that; women's issues remain more numerous and grave.

    Rape, domestic violence and workplace inequality affect women far more than men. Ireland's house may be in fairly good order- but we have an advocay role in the rest of the world which has not been fully filled.

    Mary Robinson's article in today's Irish Times lays out the points fairly well.
    We've all heard that a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters will eventually reproduce the entire works of Shakespeare. Now, thanks to the internet, we know this is not true.
