OK as mentioned previously, the govt is very secure as they know it will be carnage if there is a GE.

So it's like a land grab now just in case they don't get in next time. Harney's position in health has long since been untenable. Same goes for Lenihan and even the Taoiseach. Why have they not been removed? Martin Cullen should have gone long ago. You'll see appointments and salary increases to quangos left right and centre before the budget. Get the boys in just in case the GP quiver. But the GP would face decimation too. So no one will rock the boat.

The govt have nothing to lose, so now they have a blank cheque.
