We can go into why they did it, how they did it, what effect it had, on one thread, we don't need on on every poxy huger striker.
I agree that one thread is enough, but please don't call my heroes poxy.

The day will dawn when all the people of Ireland will have the desire for freedom to show.
It is then we'll see the rising of the moon.

Fuair siad bás...... Ní Bobby Sands amháin a bhí ann. Ná déan dearmad go raibh naoinear eile ann le Bobby.

I thought the whole Boobby Sands thing was cleared up:

    he didn't eat
he poohed all over his walls
he let his hair grow too long
he died in agony & in vain
    he achieved nothing
    "Yawn , am I alive yet ?"

    Don't forget the bad poetry.
Nothing will motivate the lazy / apathetic / Americanised / west-British types to embrace their culture and the Irish language.

Where's the other thread commemorating the start of the 25th anniversary of the Hunger Strikers?
Well, there's one here and one here. Not forgetting, of course, the three pages here and the few posts here. There may even be others which are misfiled, like this one. In short, we don't need this thread. In fact, I'm going to lock it. So there!
