Mc Dowell steals from Martin McGuinness!

I may be wrong here but the way its reported leads me to believe that McD is ripping off McG.

To quote McG from the SF Ard Fheis: 'But he warned that voters would make the decision whether the party entered government or not.
I don’t think we can afford to be presumptuous. The people who will decide the next election with be the electorate.' As reported by the SB Post

Then a release goes up on the PD site with the title Michael McDowell agrees with Martin McGuinness

In which he does agree with McG's statement that SF may be the kingmaker in the next election but at the very start of the press release there's this bit: 'President Michael McDowell has warned that the true kingmakers in our Republic are the people.'!

McD is so desperate to come across all hard,he's even copying the shinners now!

Anyway, how many people out there think that before the next election a big scandal will magically come out and damage SF's chance of increasing their number of seats??? One in which their will be no evidence,no arrests and no convictions...the usual securocrat tactic...

Since when did agreeing with someone mean that you are stealing their ideas or ripping them off?

I'm sorry Libero, but I agree with you.

I'm quite clearly ripping off your idea.

    There are already several scandals.

Even if there weren't, you can expect the Govt in the South, in Britain, the Northern parties, and most of the media to turn on you just before the election, just as they did before the 2001 Westminster elections.

Their belated tactics always have the opposite effect as their tactics are hyprocitral. They will happen though, and FF will again underestimate the number of republicans who hate FF and will vote SF in the South.

The best thing FF could do would be to get another leader.

Its the way he put it across. Why did he not also agree with McG saying that the public will decide the next election? He can't pick and choose one statement without the other.

McDowell is portraying this as an election between FF-PD, FF-SF, and Rainbow.

Its really between FF-SF, FF-Labour and Rainbow.
The only question for his party is if they get 5 seats or 4 seats.

The PDs have, since 1997 been fighting elections like it was their last one, using desperate tactics instead of prouding standing over their policies.

In 1997 it was single mothers, in 2002 it was FF majority and I'm suRE next time they will try a "Vote PD keep the Shinners away from FF"

He will say that FG havn't a chance and wed better vote PD or SF will get in and ruin the economy, tear the cranes from the sky etc....

I wonder will FG voters fall for it?

When did the Gruppenfuhrer take over as President? If that's who Paisley is slagging off, then for once I'd agree with him.

    sorry!
