    Ken Loach: Anti-semitism is understandable

    EU Politics News - theParliament.com

"British film director Ken Loach says that a rise in anti-Semitism in Europe since the Gaza crisis is "not surprising and understandable".
So, racist attacks against people due to the actions of a nation they are tenatively linked to is "understandable". I wonder would Loach also think racist attacks against Muslims (and even Sikhs) after 9/11 were "understandable".

The morality of the left is disappearing into the sewer.

I'd agree that both are predictable and not surprising, but its not 'understandable' in the sense that I can't understand the mindset of the idiots who would attack europeans to somehow take revenge on Israel.

I'd put such people in the same category as those The Sun readers who attacked a paediatrician clinic during the media generated pediaphile hysteria of the 90's.

I think that was corrected which I acknowledged. Disliking people for their beliefs is not bigotry. Also my name is with a C the Klan bit is a snide effort to tar me with the brush of racism. A bit like what the Labour party and other lefties do to Israel.

I'd say it was joking with the Klan jibe.

BTW, do you really believe that the Labour Party are lefties?

You would agree that disliking people for the beliefs you presume they have, is though, right?

Saying something is understandable is not the same as saying that it is right or you agree with it. The upswelling of Anti-Muslim sentiment in the US, for example, after 9/11 was understandable, especially considering the absolute lack of moral leadership in the US at the time.

Whats understandable about a rise in Anti Semitism after Gaza is that so many people, being completely and utterly brainless (Sun readers would be a prime example), seem to think Judaism and Islam are large, monolithic entities, unlike the fractured nature of Christianity, hence, its understandable that such idiots would equate the actions of a nation state with an entire faith. Understandable, but inexcusable.
If I could mass-sterilise the planet, I would. Seriously.
