Outrage as Bord Bia scraps 'buy Irish' campaign

RESTAURATEURS have reacted angrily to the news that Bord Bia is to scrap its long-standing Guaranteed Irish Feile Bia initiative in favour of a 'Just Ask!' campaign.

    "Is the beef Irish?"

    "Certainly sir!"

You can't say fairer than that. I mean, they wouldn't lie, would they?

This is a strange one. I support the buy Irish ethos and try to adhere to it as often as I can. But since the 'boom' its not a case of Irish goods maybe costing more, its that they definitly cost more.

Our outrage should have started years ago when industiral and business ground rents infalted to 1.5 times that of UK rents - a cost passed onto us the consumer.

Can buying Irish do any good any more? Sorry to sound unpatriotic, but we have all been taken for a ride for too long.

Will there be a "just say no" campaign for Irish pork?
It is nonsense to say that Germans are unable to change. Merkel

That's a bit strange. No reason given why it's ending?
