    Boycott Paddy's Day

I'm refusing to participate in this year's festivities for the following reasons:

    1) In solidarity with the unemployed people who can hardly afford to pay their bills, let alone bring their kids into town on the bus and bring them out for dinner afterwards.
    2) In protest against the protected elite who operate in Ireland, continue to rake it in, and expect the plebs to pay for their mistakes
    3) I refuse to encourage a bunch of fat over-paid gombeens with gold chains around their necks performing royal waves from the back of the VIP lorry.
    4) The blurring of all things religious by the secular nazis is gone beyond a joke
    5) I despise the pathetic modern Irish drinking culture and laddish/ladette behaviour. Cleaning up after the mess on Tuesday will not be a pretty task.
    6) Multiculturalism and "diversity" is not Irishness. The equality nazis have lost the run of themselves: Let them organise their own festival of cultures and see how many people want to turn up.
    7) Ireland is capable of so much better. We need to grow up and leave the paddy-whackery behind us.

So I've decided to go up North on Monday and enjoy two days of lakes, fishing and the countryside, free from the very worst of modern Irish society.

I wouldn't want to spoil their innocence. Fat gombeens with gold chains around their neck is not a sight for children under 12.

Its not even about being Irish any more.

Its about how many foreigners can do their national dance, how how multicultural we all are.

I'm Irish everyday, but my children will want to see the parade, so off we go.
