    Not true.

This isn't an increment in any case.

while I would say that I have no problem with anyone who is doing a good job getting a pay increase, I don't think anyone should get an increase when we are in this economic crisis. I do mean ANYONE! All expences need to be reduced and pay increases in any shape or form frozen.

We could hire 3 special needs teachers with the total amount of a raise for the 26 TDs.

Is it just me or do these politicians have no empathy with the rest of the country. Once in the door of the Dail, it's a case of grab everything you can.

Postponement is not good enough as it still has to be paid. Canellation is better.

TDs in touch with the people...?

Here's a suggestion - NO increment payments for any TDs.

If they are fortunate enough to get re-elected, then the +€100k they receive topped up by chairing dail committees, ministries, junior ministries, unvouched expenses, helicopter rides around the country, garda drivers, mercedes cars for ministers, first class travel...... and if they're a bit short the whip-arounds, dig-outs and even written off bank loans from AIB (Haughey £X00,000s and Gareth Fitzgerald £200,000) should keep them going nicely.

These guys are completely out of touch with the workers who keep this country going. I'd love to see how Ahern Cowen Kenny & Co. would manage for a few months on social welfare (without the dig-outs and whip-arounds).

Haugheys lifestyle was thought to have cost £9,000 per WEEK (Irish Business News, February 18, 1999)

On June 5th (local and european elections) this year we have to let the Establishment know that we're not going to accept "political elitism".

P45 all Fine Fail, Fine Gael, Green and Labour candidates. Don't vote for any of them. Its the only way to get through to them.

ps- Vote Socialist Party to unite the working class against this status quo. There is an alternative, it doesn't always have to be FF-FG-FF-FG-FF.......

personally, I'd do away with the Senate altogether but for that little annoying paper we have called the Constitution!

I'm trying to come up with a way of doing away with that too, or at least part of it.

except that they are different. They get whackloads of unvouched expenses for gargle ; they get expenses to live near their place of work ; they get to work less than 100days per year ; they can carry on other employment without question; they are NOT a profession
Your so so so so wrong. Are you a TD or a wannabee TD Jim?

Do this include Mr and Mrs Expenses Mc Hugh and Enright who were "double claiming" for three years and are refusing to hand it back. They are now getting a reward for scamming the tax payer. Poor reflection on Spokes person on Social Welfare, Enright.
