This whole thread is a pack of Shylock's who have fallen into the trap of money money money.....tax tax tax,now if the system collapses then what's there to worry about?...the money will be worthless...but that wont stop Bono writing songs (albeit crap one's) what it will stop is people like Joan Burton from propping up a false system and idiology that controls us all.You got a problem with U2 not paying tax...then dont pay yours...go on strike, boycott the system...because at the end of the day the system survives because of tax,the more peolple who dont pay it, the weaker it becomes.Unless you're happy with the way it is?

actually its not its most excellent, esp if you consider it in the album they should have made after the Joshua Tree and Acthung Baby, its a solid album and not a set of songs, though the weakest element is the single "Get on your boots" i don't know why that was choosen, personally i'd have gone with the sublimely brilliant "Magnificent".........

Look, I think the point is being missed here. The problem is not with U2 paying or not paying tax. Its more to do with that sanctimonious little pr**k telling us what to do with our money. JP McManus does not pay tax here and we don't care. Thats because he doesn't go preaching from the winners circl everytime one of his horses win a race.

It ain't about the tax its about the crap we have to put up with from his highness. other tax exiles don't whine on about charity and our obligations. I guarantee you if any ordinary Joe didn't pay up he'd be in the joy so fast his head would spin.
