    Secular fundamentalism

Having witnessed the growth in secular fundamentalism in regards Christmas how much does the west have to fear in regards attacks on freedom of speech?

The 'attacks' on Christmas are not 'secular fundamentalism' - they are the actions of cowardly people who are afraid to upset anyone not like them.

Is George Bush a 'secular fundamentalist'? The White House Christmas cards just said 'Happy Holidays'!

    hardly

do you think saying - homosexual behaviour is not acceptable on moral or health grounds, and that civil partnerships therefore were not acceptable either - should be a matter for police investigation?

do you think professing to privately hold Catholic opinions should bar you from holding a top EU job?

Please explain this: the reference you provide is to a US website-blog. The commentators to this thread refer to issues in the US. Of what earthly concern is it to us what the americans call christmas?

I guess this is a reference to Butt-ugly-one! He was opposed by the EU Parliament because he's a bigot. His religion was not the issue. You may not be aware but us catholics make up a very large proportion of the members of the EU Commission, Parliament and senior bureaucracy. Indeed, catholics have supplied most of the presidents of the Commission.

Do me a favour and cut the victimitis and associated whingeing!

Well there's a creeping aspect to this. Didn't the good councillors of Birmingham celebrate Winterville, whatever the hell that is, this year?

Let's put a stop to it.
We've all heard that a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters will eventually reproduce the entire works of Shakespeare. Now, thanks to the internet, we know this is not true.

You think it would be a good thing if we "reintegrated" church and state?
