That's a pity. It was quite extensive. If I recall correctly, in reply to the point you have made, it was noted that if one wanted to see a particular legislative programme defended and promoted, one could reasonably prefer that the person entrusted with the defence and promotion of the programme should not hold strong ideological and moral objections to key elements of it. That is, one might accept Mr Buttiglione's good faith in asserting that he would not allow his personal beliefs to interfere with his performance while doubting that he would be a satisfactory candidate for the position in question as a result of those beliefs.Originally Posted by watch-this-drive
