Ah hello, I seem to recall Ireland had at some stage over the past ten years also promised to help out developing countries. That didn't materalised either.

Ah hello, I seem to recall Ireland had at some stage over the past ten years also promised to help out developing countries. That didn't materalised either.

We haven't broken that promise, the promise is 0.7% of GNP by 2012 and all we have to do to achieve that without spending an extra penny is to shrink our GNP by 25%.

That is why I can with confidence say we will keep our promise... one way or the other.
